Kids are not Miniature Adults

With the current "obesity crisis" there seems to be more focus these days being placed on our kids to "get into shape", to "workout". or to "train". In an effort to do this, whether it be at home,at school, or as part of organized sports, we are turning kids off to physical activity when our goal should be to do the exact opposite.

The benefits of play for children

The benefits of play for children are well documented but the benefits can only be achieved when children are given the time and permission to play both at home and at school. To often adults want to treat kids like miniature adults (which they are most definitely not) and sign them up for watered down adult exercise programs and boot camps.
