        <title>Turning your Brain On</title>
        <description>
            I enjoy watching Dr. John Ratey speak about the many benefits of exercise and physical activity. He&#39;s someone I like to watch and listen to on a regular basis. It&#39;s still sad that with all the current research, physical activity still takes a back seat in our schools at all levels. I think it&#39;s downright shameful and something that needs to change across the board pronto!

Over four hundred Health and Physical Education teachers were in attendance. Andy is a life-time educator whose medium has been Physical Education, Counseling, and Sport. He has coached athletes who have medaled on every international stage.

        <title>Canadian Sport for Life National Summit</title>
        <description>
            This past week I had the opportunity to attend the Canadian Sport for Life (CS4L) National Summit in Gatineau, Quebec hosted by Canadian Sport for Life . This annual Summit brings together leaders who work to enhance the quality of sport and physical activity in Canada. CS4L recognizes that quality sport and physical activity offer rich benefits to Canadian society through improved health, stronger communities, higher sporting achievement, and stronger national identity. By improving sport, CS4L aims to improve the lives of all Canadians.

        <title>No More Sit-Ups and Crunches</title>
        <description>
            After watching yet another group of kids being told to do endless crunches/bent leg sit-ups at a local high school recently I thought I would devote the next several posts to the concept of working the &quot;core&quot;.
